Opportunities for us to Love and Serve
Mission Kids and their Parents!
Under 3 years old
Our Nursery Ministry is dedicated to providing a safe, warm, and caring environment where infants and toddlers can experience the love of God through age-appropriate activities, Bible stories, and songs. Our trained and compassionate volunteers are here to support both children and parents, ensuring that your little ones are well cared for while you worship and grow in your own faith.
The children are checked in through our Security System. Registration is required by clicking the link below on this page.
Ages 4- 7
Godly Play is a creative, Montessori-inspired approach to children’s spiritual formation that invites kids to explore a relationship with God through storytelling, wonder, and play. Each session engages children with sacred stories, both Biblical and liturgical, and encourages reflection through open-ended questions. Following the stories, there is time for individual expression using art and hands-on materials. Godly Play helps children discover their own place in God’s story and nurtures a deep, personal connection with God in a quiet, contemplative setting.
Children begin in the sanctuary with their families and are dismissed to Godly Play on the 1st-3rd Sunday of each month. They return to their families before we gather around the communion table. On the 4th Sunday, children are invited to stay in our worship service with their families. Busy bags are always available for little hands.

Ages 8-11
Godly Explorers springboards off of Godly Play by encouraging the children to continue in wonder as they learn to engage in spiritually formative practices on their own. Through guided dives into scripture, exploration of various art forms and through journaling, the children explore what it means to be a follower of Christ and how to relate with our triune God. Rucksacks are available in the hallway outside the sanctuary and through them, the children are invited to explore a particular Christian virtue or value while sitting in our worship service. Take-home guides give them even more to explore during the week, should they so desire. After having the opportunity to explore 3 different bags on the first 3 Sundays of the month, the children are dismissed from our worship service on the 4th Sunday to discuss in community and with mentors what God spoke to them during their individual exploring! On this Sunday the children begin in service with their families until they are dismissed for their 4th Sunday Community Groups. They return before we gather around the communion table.
Sensory and Nursing Room
Father William loves to say that the noise of children in the service is the noise of the future church! We welcome that noise! However, stepping away is sometimes helpful for parents and for kids, especially moms who are nursing or children with sensory needs. This room is a space for either of these! The rockers give moms a comfortable place to nurse while soft seating surrounds a play area with sensory toys allowing parents to step out of service while also giving direct access to a kid’s bathroom and a changing table. It is our goal to have the service streaming but please be patient on this front and enjoy stepping away from the sanctuary if deemed necessary!
Busy Bags
Busy bags are available for families who want help to keep little hands occupied while sitting through the worship service. Before you enter the sanctuary, you are welcome to grab a busy bag for your child(ren). The bags are located on hooks outside the sanctuary and are divided by age: pink- ages 3 and under; grey and blue - ages 4 and up. Every week you can pick a new bag and it will have a different selection of activity books and storybooks for your child along with some fidget toys. The coloring materials in the bags are updated every week and books are updated according to the season. Used bags can be put into the bin on the floor below the hooks for clean up and refreshing.
