Anglicanism is a Reformation Protestant denomination. In Anglicanism you will find both Protestant doctrine and Catholic practice. Anglican beliefs can broadly be summarized by the Chicago-Lambeth Quadrilateral, which states that Anglicans:

1) Hold the Scriptures of the Old & New Testaments to be the authoritative and inspired Word of God, useful for teaching and correcting in righteousness. (1 Timothy 3:16)

2) Affirm the beliefs set forth in the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds.

3) Affirm the validity of the two Sacraments of Communion and Baptism.

4) Receive God’s grace of spiritual covering and authority through the ministry of local Bishops who can trace their ordination all the way back to the original disciples of Jesus.
