Quarterly Prayer Service

Quarterly Prayer Service

Join us for our Quarterly Prayer Service during our regular worship time of 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM. As we prepare our hearts to transition into the season of Advent, we will spend time moving through the postures of Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication as we remember what God has done in our lives over this past season and pray into the needs of our would, our city, and one anothers’ lives.

First Sunday of Advent

First Sunday of Advent

On Sunday, Dec. 2nd, we will begin the church season of Advent. Advent has been celebrated throughout church history as “The Christian New Year,” a season of waiting and longing in which we prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ. This Advent, we will journey through the book of Habakkuk, light Advent candles, and gather into contemplative Mission Communities. Advent lasts from December 1st through Christmas Eve.

Make plans for you and your family to join us for this beautiful night of worship, candle-lighting, and joy as we celebrate Jesus Christ, God in human flesh, born into our world to defeat death and drive back the darkness with wonderful light! It will be an evening of joyful music featuring traditional carols and celebratory tunes as well as a life-giving message and communion. There will probably also be some tasty holiday treats and hot chocolate. You don’t want to miss it!

NO SUNDAY WORSHIP | Church-Wide Sabbath

NO SUNDAY WORSHIP | Church-Wide Sabbath

Joining Jesus in His work of mission in the world is joyful and wonderful work, but it is also exhausting and difficult. For this reason, we will be setting aside the week after Christmas as a special space of Sabbath and rest for our entire congregation. We will not meet for Sunday worship on Sunday 12/30 though we encourage everyone to enjoy time with family, friends, and with Christ. Do some reading, go on a spiritual retreat, practice silence, solitude, and prayer, and above all enjoy REST with Jesus. We will resume regular Sunday worship services on Sunday, January 6th.
